  • ​This grass-like annual herb flowers between October and November. Most herbarium specimens have been collected from late October to November. Inflorescences are required for identification.
  • In Tasmania the species is found growing in damp conditions, dry open grassland (Themeda) and Eucalyptus viminalis/Eucalyptus amygdalina dry sclerophyll forest.

Additional permits may also be required under other Acts or regulations to take, disturb or interfere with any form of wildlife or its products, (e.g. dens, nests, bones). This may also depend on the tenure of the land and other agreements relating to its management. ​​​​​
